On Monday, Stephen Colbert continues his tradition of being the U.N. for all late night talk shows. He’s welcoming a host from another nightly talk show. On Monday, it’s Trevor Noah from the Daily Show on Comedy Central. On Wednesday, Stephen opens his doors to yet another late night host who shares his passion for harassing and exposing the Commander-in-Chief. It’s Samantha Bee, the host of Full Frontal on TBS. Hmm, I wonder if President Trump’s name will come up?
Tuesday, Conan O’Brien’s one guest will be one of his favorite stand up comedians, Taylor Tomlinson. She was a part of the 2015 season of “Last Comic Standing“, has also appeared on the Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon and is currently touring country. One of Taylor’s upcoming stops will be the Moontower Comedy Festival in Austin, Texas, April 25th through the 27th.
Also on Tuesday in late night, Stephen Colbert hosts comedian Ramy Youssef who will be promoting his new Hulu comedy series, “Ramy“. He plays a fictionalized version of himself trying to navigate his way through being a first generation Egyptian-American growing up in New Jersey. Ramy is balancing his family’s Muslim traditions with being a millennial American. “Ramy” is available for streaming on Hulu on Friday, April 19th.
Thursday night, Bill Hader will be sitting down on Conan to talk about the new season of the Emmy Award winning dark comedy, “Barry“, currently airing on HBO. It seems like anytime Bill Hader is a guest of Team Coco, we learn another endearing, but weird fact about the SNL alum. As Conan O’Brien’s single guest on Thursday, we should have plenty of time to hear something hilariously strange from Bill Hader.
Looking at the weekend, Saturday Night Live is back to reruns for a couple of weeks as it prepares to wrap up its 44th season. For the repeat episode on Saturday, SNL has picked a great one. It’s from just last month and it stars host John Mulaney, who came back to Saturday Night Live to host for his second time in less than a year.
SNL is back live on Saturday, May 3rd with (as odd as this sounds) first-time host Adam Sandler. The star of comedy cult favorites like “Billy Madison“, “Happy Gilmore“, “The Wedding Singer” and “Grown Ups” one and two, to name a few, has never hosted Saturday Night Live during his long comedy career. I’m sure we’ll hear why he’s never been back to host in his opening monologue on Saturday, May 3rd at 11:30pm on NBC.
